Total domination with RPM clean sweep at Silverstone
Last weekend saw the Great and British Championship move to RPM's home circuit and home of British motorsport, the legendary Silversotne Circuit. The event was nothing short of completely dominated by the RPM drivers in both the Enduro and the Biduro.

Saturday saw all of the Biduro cars warmed up and ready to go when a sudden storm delayed the start of the session by over 2 hours. With the changes of set-up that were needed for the wet made the cars rolled on to the track and from the off it was a battle for the top spot between both of RPM's championship rivals Chris Stoney and James Saggers. At the fall of flag it was Chris Stoney who had just pipped James pole by 0.11 of a second. Fellow RPM drivers John Hewitt and Andy Ferguson ended up 11th and 14th in a solid showing in tricky conditions.

Race 1 saw Saggers jump a head of Stoney and drive a stunning race under constant pressure from Malcom Barnett in second and Stoney in third with John Hewitt improving his qualifying position ending up 8th and Andy Ferguson 11th.

Race 2 was much the same with Saggers dominating once more allowing him to extend his championship lead. John Hewitt had a very strong race narrowly missing out on 6th place, and Andy Ferguson had another solid 11th place netting more points for his championship effort.

The Enduro qualifying was also held in the wet. RPM had its strongest qualifying effort of the year with Mortimer and Redwood being on the overall pole ahead of all the faster sr8 cars for the first half of the session. They later slipped back to 7th overall but still pole in class. The sensation of the session was however Henry Fletcher who had worked his way upto 3rd in class his best qualify of the year.

Race 1 saw Mortimer briefly slip back to 2nd before climbing back upto first and pulling a gap on his rivals before the handover to Redwood. A gear linkage issue ment that the pairs stop was quite slow seeing them fall back to 3rd, but an aggressive drive from Redwood put them back upto first to take victory and a new lap record. Henry Fletcher brought his car home 6th in class which was not a reflection of his strong pace all weekend.

Race 2 saw Redwood starting car 31 also loosing 1 position on lap one, but his superior pace saw him almost immediately gain it back and build a 20 second lead to give to Mortimer which allowed the pair to simply cruise to victory and finish second overall among the faster SR8's! Henry Fletcher netted another solid 6th place for the team in the SR3 class.

The team were delighted with the result which had seen them for the first time take pole in both classes and win all four races, taking a lap record on their way and 3 fastest laps! Big thanks to all the RPM mechanics who made the result possible.
