23.06.08 Clark and O'Neill take maiden win! Steve clark and Paul O'neill came through tricky conditions at Rockingham in race 2 of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship to claim their maiden win. The pairing started the race way down in 12th position after a rain interupted qualifying session. However after 1 hour of hard racing they had clawed there way to second place at the circuit that saw RPM take a double victory and the British Championship the previous year. The safety car was scrambled in the final minutes of the race to recover a stranded car which saw Clark back on the heels of the leading Lambourghini of Leo Matchiski. However as the rain began too fall once more Matchiski lost control of his car behind the safety car promoting Clark into the lead to take there first victory! << back to news
