RPM Viper takes its maiden podium
Despite having to run with a 100kg weight penalty, an air restrictor reducing power output by over 40bhp and a ride height penalty, Team RPM managed to claim their first GT podium of the year at the opening round of the British GT Championship at Oulton Park. RPM Team driver Bradley Ellis commented " The fact we had to race on a damp track on slick tyres gave us the break we needed. I hadn't even driven the Viper in the wet before so I was alittle nervous having to do it for the first time in the middle of a race but the car was nice to drive and consistancy seemed to pay off."

The next round will be held at Donnington Park on the 21st and 22nd of April. The Viper should benifit from a performance brake at this round after it was over handicapped for the first round which should allow the team to challenge for its first race win of 2007.

Unfortunatly the team will not be fielding a car for Matt Griffin and Peter Bamford who made strong points scoring debut at Oulton Park as they are away with other commitiments but will be returning for round 3. Donnington will also see Henry Fletcher and James Saggers make their GT Debut after a tough start to the year having to miss round 1 after a heavy testing crash in the number 5 Dodge Viper.
