| RPM tie both
drivers and team championships lead |
|
RPM's radicals took to the track once
more for the third round of the Radical Great and British Championship over the
weekend of the 27th/28th of May. Usual to form a strong qualifying performance
saw the team claim pole with Chris Stoney and take third place with
championship leader James Saggers.
Race 1 saw a complete domination by
Stoney and Saggers with them romping home 1st and 2nd nearly eight seconds
clear of their nearest competition. The second race wasn't quite as easy for
the pair as Simon Packer kept pace with them but the result still remained the
same. Fellow team drivers John Hewitt and Andrew Ferguson both put in solid
drives finishing 9th and 11th in race 1 and 8th and 9th in race 2 netting them
both a good raft of points for their championship campaign. Overall the weekend
saw RPM driverJames Saggers further extend his championship lead as he moves on
to the next round at castle combe of the 24th/25th of June.
